To file your return electronically, a blank electronic filing form 8879 will be sent to you with each Client Organizer. Once your return is processed, we will contact you with the refund and tax information needed to complete the 8879. You will then fill in these numbers, sign the form and fax it to us at our toll free fax number. This will also give you an opportunity to review your return information before it is filed.
Electronic Filing Instructions
For you to have your refund electronically filed by PILOT-TAX you must do the following:
Check the yes box on the Client Organizer stating that you want to have your return electronically filed. There is NO fee for this service
Keep a copy of the 8879 Electronic Filing form with you (It would be a good idea to keep this with you when you are flying).
We will contact you once your return is calculated and provide you with the final numbers to complete this form.
